The meal is an 9-course "omakase" tasting menu priced at £50 + service (except for special events that will be priced as advertised). A £25 deposit is required for all bookings, with the remainder paid by cash on the night.
How to book
If you’d like to come, please contact join our mailing list. We release all our dates here first. After 24hours, we then go to social media to advertise any remainig places (if any). Tickets to tend to sell out very fast (24-48hrs) so if you’d like to come, getting on the mailing list and acting quickly is essential.
All our reservation and booking are managed via Tock, an online reservation tool - there will be a private link to book in our mail outs.
Once booked in we send over directions and further details. The location is Hackney Wick (2 minutes from Hackney Wick Overground). The meal starts at 7pm for 7.30pm start.
While the Gaijin supper club is BYOB, there’ll be a reassuring volume of our favourite sake and shochu available by the glass, as well as the opportunity for a wine and sake pairing (details in booking confirmation email).
There’s is precious little money in cooking, and with a 15-seat restaurant, if only one or two people don't turn up, we're left considerably of pocket. If you or a guest in your party can't come, please find a replacement or else we expect you to honour your booking and pay the full £50.
Supper club etiquette
If you have not yet attended a supper club, or even if you have, I strongly recommend reading this feature by my friend Luiz Hara (The London Foodie) on the Ins & Outs of Supper Club Dining before attending.
